Judith is a school psychologist in
the Anchorage School District. She completed her internship within the district
and was hired fulltime in January 2007. The first half of her internship was
completed in West Valley School District in Spokane Valley, Washington. She
also holds a M.Ed. in Community Counseling. In 2005, she worked with a team of
counselors providing free counseling at the Dirne Clinic in Coeur d’Alene,
Idaho.
Judith
was born in California but her family moved to Arkansas when she was 2 years
old. She has also lived in Illinois and Texas, where she attended undergraduate
school while working in the computer field. Upon graduating she moved to Idaho,
got married, and attended graduate school. Judith currently lives in the
Mid-Hillside area of Anchorage with her husband, two sons (ages 7 and 4), dog,
and three cats. They have all happily settled into Alaska with no plans to
leave.
I am a past president of ASPA and am currently the Continuing Education Director for ASPA as well as the Alaska NASP delegate.
In my free time, I love to travel, hike, bike and run. I had the opportunity this summer to complete a 9-day trek in Bhutan and completed a half-marathon in Thailand.

SECRETARY
I was raised in Eureka, CA, a rural town in Northern California. I came to Alaska six years ago and began working as a School Psychologist on the Kenai. Currently, I work for the Anchorage School District and serve Lake Hood Elementary and Gladys Wood Elementary. In my role as a school psych, I truly enjoy working with elementary students....you never know what funny things they will say!
Outside of school, I like to hike, snowshoe, garden, read, and shop. My husband and I also spend much of our free time remodeling our house.
I encourage all school psychs to become more involved in ASPA in order to make our state association stronger!
